John Wilson Rites at Cedar Falls to Be on Wednesday

Cedar Falls--Funeral services for John Wilson, 85, retired stock farmer who died at his home, 915 Clay street, Monday night, will be conducted at the Methodist Episcopal church by Dr. Earle A. Baker at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Fairfield cemetery, New Hartford.

Deceased was born in Bervie, Scotland, May 22, 1852, and came to Freeport, Ill., when 20. Two years later he purchased a farm in Grundy county, Ia., which he worked until his retirement several years ago. While in Scotland, Mr. Wilson belonged to the I.O.O.F., and joined the Knights of Pythias after coming to America.

He married Anna Sarah Cousins at Dubuque on July 10, 1879. She died in 1897, leaving five children, Mrs. Carl Fish, Grand Rapids, Mich.; Mrs. R. W. Boehmler, Jacksonville, Fla.; John T. Wilson, Evanston, Ill.; Mrs. George McChane, 523 Broadway, Waterloo; and Mrs. C. C. Faris, 915 Clay street, Cedar Falls; also surviving are nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
