Services Held For F. Coulter

Florence R. Coulter, age 79, died Thursday, June 16, at the Oakview Nursing Home in Conrad where she had been for the past two weeks following hospitalization, due to a stroke.

Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church of Conrad, Iowa, at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 20. The Rev. Dave Crow was the officiating clergyman.

Mrs. Jackie Stevens was the organist and Mrs. Dorothy Beeghly was the soloist.

Casket bearers were Ronald Beeghly, Ronald Bloxham, Rodney Waltermire, Carl Kurtz, Steven Coulter, and Robert Chandler.

Flower bearers were Thelma Rae Long and Verdeene Critzer.

Burial was in the Conrad Cemetery, Conrad, Iowa.

Florence R. Coulter was born on May 18, 1909, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Quinn and Sarah Gould Waltermire. She graduated from Marshalltown High School.

Mrs. Coulter married Fred E. Coulter, Jr., September 13, 1934, in Galena, IL. They lived and farmed in the Conrad area since 1936.

She was a member of the Conrad United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Royal Neighbors and Thursday Club.

She is survived by her husband Fred, Jr., a son, Larry Coulter of Bloomington, MN, a daughter Dorinne (Mrs. G. Jim) Dobson of Phoenix, AZ, a brother Harry Waltermire of Marshalltown, Iowa, and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

Johnston Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
