Mari Ellen Eivins was called to Heaven on Dec. 28, 2011 with her family by her side. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother and devoted Friend.

Mari recently retired after 20 years of civil service from the United Air Force Academy. Serving the cadets was an honor and brought her much joy. Mari enjoyed working in the flower garden, crafting, and spending time with all of her grandchildren. She was born in Emmetsburg, Iowa, to Ruth Overmire and Clearance Bjorklund on Jan. 26, 1947.

Mari leaves behind her sisters LaVon Groth, Dorthy Smith, Jolene Dillon and a brother LaVern Bjorklund, daughter Tanya Culp, son Mike Sienknecht; 7 grandchildren Corey Sienknecht, Chad Sienknecht, Cole Sienknecht, Dax Culp, Caileen Sienknecht, Taylor Culp, Sydney Culp.

A service will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012 at the Cappadona Funeral Home located at 1020 E. Fillmore St., Co. Spring, CO 80907. A reception will be held at the Electrical Workers IBEW Local 113 located at 2150 Naegele Rd., Co. Springs, Co 80904 after the service.
