Esther Jaspers, 91

Esther Pauline Jaspers, 91, of Ackley, died September 21 at the Presbyterian Village. Funeral services were September 24 at the East Friesland Presbyterian Church, rural Ackley. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Esther was born July 28, 1912, the daughter of Joe and Minnie (Heetland) Boyenga. She attended German Twp. #7 School, graduated from the Ackley High School in 1929 and received her Teaching Certificate from Ellsworth College. She was married to Abraham Jaspers on August 23, 1933. She taught country school until her marriage.

Survivors include a son; three daughters; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a granddaughter; a brother; and two sons-in-law.
