Mrs. Rena Krull

Funeral services for Mrs. Rena Krull were conducted Tuesday from her late home and at St. John's Evangelical church, Rev. E. Seybold having charge. Mrs. Rena Krull, nee Kruse, was born July 20, 1848 at Schirum, East Friesland, Germany. On October 20, 1872 she was united in marriage to Henry Evert Krull. In 1882 Mr. and Mrs. Krull and their family of four sons came to the United States and settled on a farm near Ackley. Four more children were born to this union, all girls, two of whom preceded their mother in death.

Mr. Krull departed this life Sept. 24, 1897. Six years after that Mrs. Krull moved to the home in Ackley, in which, during all these years, she has resided. The winter months of the past few years she has spent in the home of her eldest daughter, Mrs. Menno Harms, at whose home her death occurred on Feb. 23, after two weeks of illness. She had reached the age of 86 years, 7 months, 3 days. She leaves her four sons, Evert of Buffalo Center, Martin Krull of Dumont, Aildt of Ackley, and John of Wellsburg; two daughters, Mrs. Menno Harms, and Mrs. Geo. M. Abbas, both of Ackley; thirty-six grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Interment took place in the cemetery adjoining the church of which Rev. Engelke is pastor.
