Former W'burg Resident Dies In California

Clarence Nichols, 63, of Santa Ana, CA, passed away on Thursday, May 11, at the hospital there following a long illness. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 20, at Santa Ana with burial in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery there.

The deceased was born at Wellsburg, the son of Ray and Ella Nichols. He was a city mail carrier in California for many years.

Survivors are his wife, Elnora, of 2440 South Towner, Santa Ana, CA 92707, also two sons and a daughter: Jeffery of Palm Springs, CA, Susan of Ontario, CA, and Scott of Santa Ana; two grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Wendell Lindaman of Wellsburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
