David Michael Kruse, age 52, of Pickerington, OH, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2004 with his family by his side. He was born to the late John H. and Henrietta (nee Schaefer) Kruse in Grundy Center, IA. Also preceded in death by his brother Larry Kruse August 15, 2000.

David received a BA in Economics from Central College, Pella, IA (1974) and his MBA from Drake University, Des Moines, IA (1975). He began his career working for Pella Corp., where he remained for 11 years, working in accounting as well as managing distributorship in Louisville, KY and as divisional sales manager. He then worked for the Geneva Corp. where he was vice president manager of Pella Windows in Greensboro, NC. David was the director of sales and marketing with Ludowici Roof Tile in New Lexington, OH, general manager of Morgan-Wightman Co. in Columbus, OH, president of American Glassmith in Columbus, president of American Weatherseal in Orrville, OH, and president of Lauren Architectural Products in Cambridge, OH.

David was baptized and confirmed in the First Christian Reformed Church of Wellsburg, IA, and then joined the 3rd Reformed Church while residing in Pella. Currently, he was a member of the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church.

He enjoyed being involved with his children's always changing activities. He also enjoyed playing basketball and golf and watching sports.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Shirley; sons, John and Ben; and daughter, Hannah.

David's Memorial Service will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church, 1636 Graham Rd., Reynoldsburg, where family will receive friends following the service. Rev. Dr. H. Douglas Shriner, officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (www.pancan.org) or to the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church Free Store.

Former Wellsburg Resident Dies In Ohio

Word was received here of the death of David Kruse, 52, of Pinkerington, OH, on Saturday, Oct. 16, at 1 p.m. He was the son of the late John and Henrietta Kruse. Funeral services were held Tuesday in Ohio.

Survivors are his wife, also two sons and a daughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Larry Kruse.
