Former Resident Dies In Arizona

Relatives here received word of the death of Harley Meyer, 70, of Phoenix, Arizona, on Sunday night, January 5. He passed away at the Good Samaritan Hospital there where he had been confined for the past two weeks.

Harley was born and grew up at Wellsburg. He graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1939.

Survivors are his wife, Gertrude, and one daughter, Judy and four grandchildren. Other survivors are five sisters: Mrs. Gertie DeNeui, Mrs. Minnie Harlan, and Donna Meyer of Wellsburg, and Mrs. Fred (Eva) Widmann of Mesa, Arizona, and Mrs. Bob (Clareen) Baehr of Bella Vista, Arkansas, also one brother, Edward Meyer of Washington, Missouri.

Harley was preceded in death by a son, Harley Jr., also by a brother, Clarence Meyer, and two sisters, Clara Meyer and Mrs. Joe (Freda) Boelman and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Siebe H. Meyer.

Funeral services were tentatively set for Wednesday at Phoenix.
