Harriet Kitzman Services Held

Harriet D. Kitzman, 71, of Conrad, died Saturday, September 25, at Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center of cancer.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 28, at 10:30 a.m. at Second Christian Reformed Church at Wellsburg with Pastor John Kroon officiating.

Pallbearers were Brett and Scott Kitzman, Jonathan and Jamie Kenney, Nicholas Kitzman, Tony and Brian Ladehoff, Matthew Kitzman, Lisa Ashley and Heather Kitzman.

Burial was in the Vienna Cemetery, Beaman.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

Harriet was born March 19, 1922, in Wellsburg, the daughter of William D. and Elsie Heikens Wulf. She graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1939.

On September 1, 1944, she was united in marriage to H. Charles Kitzman at First Christian Reformed Church, Wellsburg. She was a homemaker and a hardworking partner of the family farm.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors included her husband, H. Charles Kitzman of Conrad; 3 daughters, Elaine Kenney of Grand Rapids, MI, Nancy Ladehoff of Grand Rapids, MI, Heidi Strang of Portland, MI; 3 sons, Clifford and William of Beaman and Wallace of Conrad; 1 sister, Julia Wulf of Grand Rapids, MI; and 11 grandchildren.

The Johnston Funeral Home in Conrad was in charge of the arrangements.
