LaVine Meyer, 95, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2015, at Hawkeye Care Center (formerly Villa Del Sol).

Funeral services for LaVine will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Dr. Richard King officiating. Public visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2015, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home where her family will be present to greet friends. Memorial contributions may be directed in LaVines name to her family. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for LaVine and her family.

LaVine Heronimus was born on August 21, 1920, in Wellsburg, Iowa, the daughter of John and Lizzeta (Graves) Heronimus. She was raised and educated in the Wellsburg school district, graduating from Wellsburg High School.

On May, 15, 1942, LaVine was united in marriage to the love of her life, Odie W. Meyer in Wellsburg, Iowa. She was a hard working woman, devoting 10 years of her life to Fisher Controls. LaVine was a proud member of UAW Local 893 and First Presbyterian Church. LaVine had a passion for reading, upholstery, collecting bells, and most importantly, the love she had for her pets.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Lynn (Betty) Meyer; grandchildren: Lisa (Don Rowley) Weuve, Shelley (Ken) Gratopp, and Kristin (Brian Rahn) Johnson; great-grandchildren: Kellianne (JJ) Torres, Joshua Weuve, Addie (Brock Pieters) Gratopp, Baylee Gratopp and Chase Gratopp; great-great grandchildren: Paighton and Gage Torres.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Odie and her parents, John and Lizzeta.
