Clara Schierbaum Dies Of Injuries In Home Robbery

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorris Schierbaum nee Clara Neessen were held Thursday, May 27, 1982 at 2:30 p.m. at the T. E. Pitman Chapel at Wentzville, Missouri. Rev. Wayne Kidwell was officiating pastor. Interment was held in the New Melle Methodist Cemetery at New Melle, Missouri.

The deceased was born Clara Neessen on December 2, 1910 to Ben and Gertie (Meyer) Neessen at Wellsburg. She passed away Monday evening, May 24, 1982 at her home after being robbed and assaulted by someone who broke into her home. Her death was caused by strangulation. She had suffered a broken bone in her larynx.

Six years ago Mrs. Schierbaum had retired after working as a waitress in St. Charles, Missouri where she had been employed for 16 years.

Surviving are her husband, Dorris, also two sons, Bernard C. Zwyers of Long Beach, California, and James P. Zwyers of St. Peters, Missouri, also five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
