Jennie Jane Holcomb, 91

Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Christ in Eldora, for Jennie Jane Holcomb, age 91 of Eldora, who died Tuesday, October 31, 2000, at the Eldora Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

Burial will be in the Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Eldora. A memorial fund has been established. Creps-Abels Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born on July 18, 1909, in Wellsburg, the daughter of John and Minnie (Abbas) Krull. She graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1928 and Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, in 1930.

On April 5, 1941, she was united in marriage to Leslie "Red" Holcomb in Iowa Falls. She worked as a bookkeeper at the Sinclair station in Eldora. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Eldora.

Survivors include, her husband, Leslie Holcomb of Eldora; two daughters, Patricia Harrison of New Windsor, NY and Barbara (Jack) Irlbeck of Coon Rapids; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one sister Grace Trailer of Vallejo, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Jack Harrison; brothers, Henry, George, John, Alfred, and Aielt Krull; and a sister, Irene Dunn.
