Mrs. Fred Lubbert Died Sunday

Mrs. Fred Lubbert, age 66, died at her home in Dike Sunday night at 9:15. She recently underwent surgery at Iowa City. Cause of death was carcinoma. Mary Larsen, daughter of Soren and Lena Larsen was born at Union Grove, Wis., Nov. 9, 1884, and was married to Fred Lubbert at Dike May 7, 1902. They farmed in the Dike vicinity until moving to Dike about 30 years ago. Mrs. Lubbert was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church of Waterloo.

She leaves besides her husband, six children, they are Mrs. John Bottema of Whitten, Mrs. Howard Card of Beaman, Earl of Gladbrook, Arthur of Des Moines, Mrs. Elmer Kessler and Fred, Jr. of Dike. Two children died in infancy. Three brothers, Henry, Chris and Will Larsen all of Dike. One brother from Wisconsin. There are 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at the Dike Methodist church Wednesday afternoon at 1:30, with Rev. C. O. Berry of the Seventh Day Adventist church of Waterloo officiating. Burial in the Dike cemetery.
