Mrs. Dick Bruns Died Saturday

Mrs. Dick Bruns, 58, died Saturday morning at 5:15 at the Sartori hospital in Cedar Falls where she had been taken on Tuesday for treatment. She had been ill about two years with carcinoma.

Mrs. Bruns, the former Miss Tillie Cirks, was born March 18, 1894, in Beaver township, daughter of Elko and Tada Cirks. She was married to Dick C. Bruns Feb. 19, 1914, at Greene. They farmed in the Dike vicinity until moving to Dike in 1927.

She leaves besides her husband, one son Gerald of Dike, one daughter Lylas at home and one granddaughter, Beverly Ann Bruns of Dike; two brothers, Enno Cirks in Greene, Ben Cirks in Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Henline and Mrs. Emma Morey, both of Greene. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Bruns was a member of the Dike Methodist church and of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Dike on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock with Rev. L. J. Runion officiating. Burial was in Elmwood cemetery, Dike.
