Ernest Wumkes Died Tuesday

Ernest Wumkes died at 6:30 Tuesday evening at his home on his farm south of Cedar Falls. He had been in failing health due to diabetes for a number of years. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wumke Wumkes and was born and grew up on the Wumkes farm in Lincoln township.

Surviving are the wife and six children. The children are Wilbur, Delmar, Erma, Ernest Jr., John and Robert. One of their children died. There are two brothers, Ben and Al, and two sisters, Mary and Nellie Wumkes.

Time for the funeral has not been set.
