Fred Ludemann
Funeral services for Mr. Fred Ludemann, resident of Ackley, were conducted at his place of residence, and at the East Friesland (German) Presbyterian church, six miles southeast of Ackley, last Friday afternoon; services being conducted by the pastor of the church, Rev. C. F. Siemsen. Mr. Ludemann's death occurred after a comparatively brief illness, he having been removed from his home to a Marshalltown hospital.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Ludemann, who had lived in German township many years, also at Aplington, and in the more recent years, just at the north edge of the village of Cleves. A good citizen in every way, and a good neighbor, he had been engaged in farming until locating in Ackley. He was a brother of the late Jans Ludemann, who, in the recent later years, was engaged in the banking business at Wellsburg. The deceased had a broad circle of acquaintances. His funeral was largely attended by friends who had known him through the years.
His remains were interred in the cemetery that adjoins East Friesland Presbyterian church, southeast of Ackley.
