Delmar Roelfs, 81, of Ackley, Iowa, died March 5, 1999, at the Presbyterian Village in Ackley.

He was born October 29, 1917 in Ackley, Iowa, the son of Ben and Lizzie Bleeker Roelfs. He attended country school.

He married Marian Willems at the East Friesland Presbyterian Church, February 11, 1944. He later married Delores Schultz at the United Methodist Church in Alden, December 12, 1981. He was a farmer and worked at Boyt's Manufacturing in Iowa Falls until retiring.

He was a member at East Friesland Church and later the United Methodist Church.

Roelfs was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marian, in 1974; and his wife, Delores, in 1995.

Survivors include; one son, David Roelfs, and his wife, Marilyn, of Ackley; and one sister, Vivian Kloetzer and her husband, Raymond, of Ackley.

Funeral services were March 8 at the Ackley United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Interment was in the East Friesland Cemetery of rural Ackley.

Brandt-Fritz Funeral Home of Ackley was in charge of the arrangements.
