Martha Oelmann of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away April 5, 2001 at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. She was 76.

Oelmann was born the daughter of Luppe and Theda (Wubbena) Feikes on December 26, 1924 in Ackley, Iowa. On October 6, 1945, she married George M. Oelmann in Ackley. She had been employed by the Ackley Canning Factory and did housecleaning. She was a member of the Faith Presbyterian Church in Ackley.

Oelmann is survived by: daughter Judy Rush and her husband Jim Meyer of Geneva, Iowa; son Ronald Oelmann of Nevada, Iowa; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers Meint (Anna) Feikes, Henry (Darlene) Feikes, Fred (Ramona) Feikes, and Louie (Carol) Feikes, all of Ackley; and sister Annie (Else) Oelmann of Iowa Falls. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; and two granddaughters.

Services were held April 9 at Faith Presbyterian church with Rev. Tim Diehl officiating. Burial following at the East Friesland Cemetery in rural Ackley.

Surls Funeral Home of Iowa Falls was in charge of the arrangements.
