Mr. E. Eiten was born at Loquard, Germany, December 16, 1831, and died at his home near Wellsburg, July 14, 1898. He came to this country in 1862 and has been a successful farmer, a faithful citizen and an active church member. He has been suffering for a long time, especially since the death of his son, B. Eiten, which occurred about one and one-half years ago. The funeral occurred July 15 at the Chr. Reform church, conducted by Rev. J. Timmermann and attended by a large number of friends and neighbors. A widow and a large family of children mourn his death.
