ADAMS

On Saturday last the angel of death appeared at the home of Chas. J. Adams and claimed little Artie, a bright and beautiful youth of about eight summers. Artie had been ailing for some time, but no one, not even his parents, thought he was in a dangerous condition, and his sudden death was a great shock to our citizens. Artie was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Adams and they have the sympathy of the community in their sad bereavement. The funeral was held at their residence on Monday, July 4, conducted by Rev. Trimble and the remains were taken to Vinton for interment. A large number of our citizens accompanied the remains to the depot followed by the Sunday School class and the Junior League of which Artie was a member.
