Died, Nov. 27th, 1893, at her home in Palermo township, Mrs. Elsie Devoogd, in the twenty-fourth year of her age. The circumstances connected with this death seem peculiarly sad. Mrs. Devoogd had been in this country less than a year, and so was a comparative stranger here. Far from dear home, friends and native land she breathed her last, leaving an infant but two weeks old. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. D. W. McLane, were held at the house Nov. 28, after which the body was laid to rest in the cemetery.
