Clifford L. Drenner, 83, of Clinton, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2010, at University of Arkansas Medical Center, Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born July 12, 1926, at Grundy County, Iowa, to the late J. Elmer and Louise (Behrens) Drenner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister.

March 19, 1950 he married Ramona Mason in the Methodist Church of New Hartford, Iowa. Cliff worked at John Deere in the Engineering Department for 37 years including 10 years as a Field Test Supervisor at Howe Lumber Company in Wabash, Arkansas where he helped develop the LP Gas Powered Tractor, Power Steering, and the new generation John Deere Tractors in the late 50's. Cliff retired from John Deere in 1982 and moved with Ramona to a Beautiful Mountain Meadow in North Central Arkansas where they lived for twenty years before moving to Clinton, Arkansas in 2003. He was a member of the Iowa National Guard.

He is survived by his wife Ramona; children, David (Mary Sue) of Cedar Falls, IA; Bill (Martha) of Waterloo, IA; Candi (Tom Kegelman) Talley of Amherst, MA; and Peggy (Doug) Shaffer of Jesup, IA; nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren and two more on the way.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2010 and funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel, Clinton, Arkansas with Pastor Vaughn Marsden officiating.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton, Arkansas.
