Cedar Falls--Services for Maurice H. Paul, 73, of 1509 Franklin St., will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First United Presbyterian Church, with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery, rural Cedar Falls.
He died at noon Tuesday (May 6) at Sartori Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 20, 1912, in Cedar Falls, son of Henri and Bertha Wilbur Paul.
He married Marian F. Lynch on Aug. 21, 1936, at the First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Falls.
Mr. Paul was owner and operator of the Standard Service Station at First and Clay streets for 23 years. He then was parts manager for the Ross Guyer John Deere Implement of Waterloo until he retired.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include a son, Derald M. of Roseville, Calif.; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Verna Mae Prochaska of Cedar Falls and Mrs. Mildred Stewart of Hampton. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald, and a sister, Gladdis Patten.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour before services at the church.
Memorials may be sent to the First United Presbyterian Church.
