Obituary
Niel A. Snapp, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Snapp, was born June 1, 1892 at Firth, Nebraska, and died November 7, 1918, aged 26 years, 5 months and 7 days.
Twenty years ago he came to Wellsburg, Iowa, with his parents, and there grew to manhood. In March, 1915, he was united in marriage with Mable Miller of Hardy, Oklahoma. In March, 1916, they moved to Elbow Lake, Minnesota where they resided at the time of his death, which was caused by the Spanish Influenza and pneumonia.
He leaves to mourn his death, a wife and two sons, Wayne Dale, aged three years and Lowell Allen aged 1 year, father, mother, two sisters--Mrs. Fred Delp of Eldora and Frances who lives with her parents; five brothers, Herman, Arthur, Willie and Albert. Two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
The body was shipped from Elbow Lake arriving last Saturday evening at Eldora at 4:30. Huffman & Son took care of the body and took it to Ivester Sunday afternoon for burial at 2:30 in the Ivester cemetery. The services were short and in the open air. They were in charge of the local pastor, D. W. Shock. A large number of relatives and friends were present on this sad occasion. All of Albert Snapp's family were present at the funeral. He has lived at Mason City, Iowa, since last March.--D. W. Shock
