Miss Alta Albright, of Ivester, died at the Grundy Center Hospital last Saturday night after an operation for the removal of a tumor. Miss Albright had been in poor health for some time and last November Dr. McAlvin advised an operation but the patient was not willing to undergo it at that time. However last Saturday she came to town and although no assurance could be given her that she would survive the ordeal she requested that the operation take place at once, the result was as above stated. Miss Albright was an intelligent lady of about thirty years of age and was a devoted member of the German Baptist church of Melrose township and funeral services were held at that place on Tuesday. Deceased was a sister of Mr. Wm. Albright of this city.
