Lois J. Skramovsky, 82, of Beaman, IA passed away Friday, February 12, 2016, at the Iowa River Hospice Home, in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 15, 2016, at the Beaman United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, February 14, 2016, at the Main St. Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Homes, 405 W. Main St., Marshalltown. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery, in Beaman. A memorial has been established in her name.

Lois Jeanne was born February 13, 1933, to Thomas and Maude (Lepley) Lynch, in Beaman. She graduated from Beaman High School. Lois was united in marriage to Harold Skramovsky on June 6, 1953, in Beaman. She was employed as a mail carrier in Beaman before service as Post Master for the Beaman Post Office. Lois was a member of the Beaman United Methodist Church where she was involved with the UMW Women Club, and the Evening Circle. She was also a member of the Beaman American Legion Auxiliary and Marshalltown Moose Club. Lois volunteered at the Heritage Center, Lions Club Bingo and the Marshalltown Hospital in the gift shop. She enjoyed camping club, bowling and to dance both the Polka and Two-Step. Lois loved her grandchildren and never missed one of their sporting events.

Lois will be missed by her husband of 62 years, Harold, two sons; Ken (Carla) Skramovsky, of Conrad, Michael (Cindy) Skramovsky, of Beaman, three granddaughters: Angie (Ryan) Mathern, of Beaman, Katie (Martin) Cram, of Cedar Rapids, IA, Cara (Mike Kruse) Skramovsky, of Burbank, CA; six great-grandchildren: Kendall, Brandon, Nolan, Livy, Gannen, Lexie; two brothers; Kent (Judy) Lynch, Robert Lynch, and a sister Virginia Zink.

She was preceded in death by two sisters; Mary Kathern (Melvin) Stephenson , Donna (George) Holl, and a brother, Richard Lynch.
