Margaret E. Green, 88, of Conrad, IA passed away, Thursday, November 10, 2016, Oakview Nursing Home, in Conrad. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 14, 2016, at Conrad United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, November 13, 2016, at the Conrad Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Homes. Interment will be at the Conrad Cemetery.

Marge was born October 7, 1928 to Earl and Margaret (Ulrich) Persinger, in Waterloo, IA. She graduated from Grundy Center High School, in 1946. Marge attended Morningside College, in Sioux City, IA and Iowa State University, in Ames. She was united in marriage to Leslie Green on June 3, 1956, in Grundy Center. In her early years she was involved with 4-H. Marge was a homemaker. She was a member of the Conrad American Legion Auxiliary. Margaret was also a member of the Grundy Center United Methodist Church, Mid-Circle Club, and Garden Club.

Marge will be missed by her, son, Lawrence (Glenda) and their children Trevor and Kierra of Hampton, IA; daughters, Nancy (Gary) Kalkwarf and their children, Gregory, Bryon and Molly of Pella, IA, and Mary Green-Warnstadt (Steve) and their children, Stephanie and Jackson of Sioux City, IA; daughter-in-law, Deb Green of Conrad, IA and her children, Sharon (Gabe) Smith and their daughter, Dylan of Walnut, IL, Devan (Carmen) Green and their daughters, Sofia, Nina, and baby Green of Conrad, IA, and Deidra Green of Conrad. Family was very important to Marge, each one of her grandchildren were special to her in their own way. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Les, son, Charles; parents, Earl and Margaret Persinger, a brother, Francis Persinger, and a sister, Marian Ressler.
