Mrs. E. H. Dirks Died Monday At The Hospital

Mrs. E. H. Dirks, who resided in Grundy county for 68 years, died at the Marshalltown hospital at eight o'clock Monday morning from uremic poisoning. While her health had not been good for several years, it was only during the past month that her condition became serious. She was taken to the hospital for treatment last Friday, but there was nothing that specialists there could do other than to give her slight temporary relief.

A short funeral service will be held at the home in Grundy Center at 1 o'clock Thursday. Later there will be service at the Colfax Presbyterian church. Rev. George Swalve, the local pastor, will have charge of the services. He will preach in English. Former pastor J. E. Drake will deliver a sermon in German. Burial will be in the Drake church cemetery.
