Harmanda Lucile Abels

Harmanda Lucile Abels, youngest daughter of Lucas and Carrie Abels, was born in Palermo township, Grundy County, Iowa, November 18th, 1911, and died at her home, November 22nd, 1919, aged 8 years and 4 days.

She leaves to mourn her early departure, her parents, three sisters, Mrs. Clayton Ralston of near Grundy Center, Henrietta and Freda at home, and one brother Henry. Two little sisters, Margaret and Anna preceded her to her Heavenly home.

Little Harmanda was of a bright and sunny disposition and will be greatly missed not only in her home, but in the school and among the neighbors.

Mr. Harms Abels of Sibley, Iowa; George Abels of Sibley, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Muhring, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Klock and Mr. and Mrs. George Rademaker of Forreston, Illinois, were relatives from a distance who came to attend the funeral.

She was buried from the Drake church, November 25th, the services being conducted by Rev. Drake, assisted by Rev. Arends. Four of her schoolmates, Vernie and Ada Bockes and Anna and Neva Klar were the pallbearers.

Call not back the dear departed,
Anchored safe where storms are o'er,
We shall meet to part, no never
On the happy, golden shore.
