Harold Heronimus Died Suddenly
This community was shocked last Wednesday evening upon learning of the sudden death of Harold Heronimus, 37, of Cedar Falls, who died late in the afternoon of a heart attack while at work at the Benton Ready-Mix Concrete Company.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Dahl Van Hove Funeral Home in Cedar Falls. Rev. Luther Wachholz officiated. Burial was in the Colfax cemetery at Holland.
Harold D. Heronimus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Heronimus was born on May 11, 1932, in Holland, Iowa. He graduated from the Grundy Center Community High School in 1951 and served in the United States Army from November, 1952, until September, 1954, having participated in the Korean conflict for a period of eighteen months.
On August 15, 1959, he was united in marriage to Thressa Creery, of Leroy, Minnesota. Since the time of their marriage they resided in Cedar Falls where he was employed by the Benton Ready-Mix Concrete Company.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Thressa; his parents of Holland, Iowa; one daughter, Pamela Heronimus of Marshalltown; three stepsons, Gary Creery of Grundy Center, Robert Creery of Cedar Falls and John Creery of Shepard Air Force Base, Texas; one brother, T. J. Heronimus of Grundy Center; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Alice Heronimus of Grundy Center; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Rena Maas of Wellsburg.
