Belle Degnan Dies Suddenly

Belle Degnan, age 76, passed away very suddenly Thursday morning March 18, at 8:30 at the home of her sister, Mrs. T. D. Murphy, where she had made her home for a number of years.

She was born near Hudson, Ia., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Degnan. Besides the sister, Mrs. Murphy, she is survived by a brother, John Degnan at Ayrshire, Ia. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Grant Twp., at 9:30 Saturday morning, conducted by Rev. Father Michaels of Cedar Falls. Burial was at St. Marys Cemetery.

Relatives from a distance attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. John Degnan, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Degnan, Wm. Degnan, all of Ayrshire; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Degnan of Gilmore; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Degnan, Mrs. W. L. O'Brien and Mrs. Don Donavon of Emmetsburg, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Murray of Buffalo Center; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gordon of Lakota, Ia.; Mrs. Leo Flynn of Elmore, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Flynn, Lawrence Flynn and Phyllis Strand of Blue Earth, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Don Chollman of Galva; and Mr. and Mrs. R. W. O'Connor and Maureen of Independence, Ia.
