Heye Buskohl Obituary

Heye Buskohl, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Berned Buskohl, was born on the Buskohl farm place in Colfax Township on April 2, 1897. Here he spent most of his life.

He was united in marriage to Annie Meester on October 10, 1940. They farmed four years, then moved to Holland and then three years later moved to Grundy Center.

Heye made confession of his faith and was baptized on the 26th of March, 1950. On the 2nd of April, 1950, he was received into membership of the church.

Those who survived him are his wife and two brothers, Menno, who resides in the Country Side Nursing Home, Grundy Center, and Henry of Dike and a host of relatives.

Preceding him in death were sisters, Mrs. Jennie Flater, Mrs. Annie Groote and Gertie Buskohl, five brothers, Harm, John, Ben, Wessel and Willie.

The departed suffered from his affliction for eight months. He was a patient at various times at Allen Memorial and the Grundy County Memorial Hospital. He passed away in the Grundy Hospital on March 2, at 9:00 p.m. He reached the age of 69 years and 11 months.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 6, at the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
