Mrs. Charles L. Conradi, Grundy Center, mother of Mrs. Max E. Jennings, 1116 2nd St. S.E., in Oelwein, formerly of Arlington, was born on Nov. 22, 1881 in Ely, Iowa. She was taken ill quite suddenly last Sunday, Jan. 24th and was hospitalized at the Grundy Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center, where she passed away on Thursday, Jan. 28th at the age of 89 years.

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Conradi on Sat. Jan. 30th, 1971 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Grundy Center, Iowa. Rev. Herbert L. Bryant, Pastor of United Methodist Church was the officiating clergyman. Music was provided by Mrs. Arthur Trevillyan, organist.

Casket bearers were Charles Baldwin, Francis Persinger, Warren Feller, Leland Bentley, Keith Bentley, and Robert Sprague.

Interment will be at Holland Cemetery in Holland, Iowa.

Ferree-Oltmann Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Services Sat. For Mrs. Chas. Conradi

Services were Saturday at 2 p.m. in United Methodist church in Grundy Center for Mrs. Charles L. Conradi, age 89, who passed away January 28 at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital of a heart condition.

Mrs. Charles L. Conradi was born Anna Poduska in Ely, Iowa, November 22, 1881, the daughter of Frank and Katherine Stepanek Poduska. On August 14, 1901, she was united in marriage to Charles L. Conradi at Mt. Vernon, Iowa. From their marriage until 1919 they lived in Holland, where Mr. Conradi was the druggist. In 1919 they bought a farm northwest of Grundy Center where they lived until his death on December 15, 1954. Mrs. Conradi stayed on the farm until January 1970 when she moved to the Beverly Manor Convalescent Center in Grundy Center. On Jan. 24, 1971, she was hospitalized until her death on the morning of the 28th.

Mrs. Conradi is survived by one son, Carl, of Grundy Center; 3 daughters, Irene (Mrs. A. L. Bowen) of Waterloo, Velma (Mrs. C. H. Burge) of Houston, Texas, and Clara (Mrs. Max E. Jennings) of Oelwein. Also surviving is her brother, Edward Poduska Jr. of Solon, Iowa; her sister, Mrs. Rose Rushek of Cedar Rapids; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Services were in charge of Rev. Herbert L. Bryant, pastor of the United Methodist church. Music was provided by Mrs. Arthur Trevillyan, organist. Mrs. Leland Bentley and Mrs. Keith Bentley were in charge of the flowers.

Interment was in the Holland cemetery, Holland, Iowa.
