Anna Wilts, 92, Grundy Native, Died Saturday

Anna Katherina Wilts died July 20 at the Grundy County Memorial hospital in Grundy Center at the age of 92 years, two months and 27 days.

Memorial services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 in the Holland Christian Reformed church. Rev. John Entingh officiated. Mrs. Henry Siefken and LaVern Dieken sang "Rock of Ages" and "The Old Rugged Cross", accompanied by Mrs. Marvin Graves. Grandsons of Mrs. Wilts were pallbearers. Burial was in the Holland cemetery. Ushers were Edward Schoolman and Clarence Henze. Mrs. Conrad Flater and Mrs. Eldon Klaassen were floral attendants.

Anna was born April 23, 1882 in Lincoln Township, Grundy county, Iowa the daughter of John and Louise Ibelshauser Lingelbach. She received her spiritual education in the Lincoln Center Christian Reformed church. On November 13, 1901 she was married to Fred H. Finke. They farmed in the Holland area until January 15, 1905 when they moved into Holland. Mr. Finke died April 20, 1917. On February 4, 1920 she married Jacob J. Wilts. They made their home in Holland. Mr. Wilts died August 12, 1945. She continued to make her home in Holland until August 1961. At that time she became a resident of the Storey Nursing Home in Grundy Center. She moved to the Long Term Care Unit of the Grundy County Memorial hospital in October 1973. She was a member of the Holland Christian Reformed Church and a past member of the Ladies Aid Society.

Mrs. Wilts is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Louise Conklin and Mrs. Leona Canfield of Bettendorf and Mrs. Edna Buchan, Minneapolis; also five sons, Fred and John Finke of Grundy Center, Rueben Finke of Cedar Falls, Jacob E. Wilts of Waterloo and Wallace Wilts, Holland. There are 15 grandchildren and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one son, three brothers and six sisters.

The Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home made arrangements.
