Dick Brower Dies Wed. Morning

Dick Brower, aged 63, died early Wednesday morning at his home in Holland. He had been ill with a heart condition for several months.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 24th, at 1 p.m. at the Engelkes Funeral home in Grundy Center and 1:30 p.m. at the Christian Reformed church at Holland. Burial will be in the Holland cemetery.

He was born in Colfax township, Grundy county, on June 28, 1889, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Brower. His mother was nee Grace Winterboer. He was married May 26th, 1910, to Minnie Johnson in Pleasant Valley township. They always lived in and near Holland.

Survivors are his wife, three sons and three daughters: Carl Brower at Holland; Edwin Brower at Holland; Mrs. Edward Aswegan, Grundy Center; Mrs. Dale Reisinger of Eldora; and Mrs. Henry Graham, Cedar Falls; Calvin Brower of Grundy Center.

There are 11 grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters; Cuno Brower, Watertown, S.D.; Harm Brower, Watertown, S.D.; and Peter Brower, Grundy Center; Mrs. Dick Johnson, Aplington; Mrs. Adam Poppen, Holland; and Mrs. C. A. Bunger, Wellsburg.
