Geike Johnson Dead

Geike Johnson died at his home in Holland last Sunday night. For the past year he was a sufferer from a cancer in the mouth and the end was not unexpected when it came. Funeral services with Rev. Pontow officiating were held in the church at Holland Wednesday afternoon. The remains were laid to rest in the Holland cemetery.

Mr. Johnson was 82 years old at the time of his death. He and his wife moved to Holland from German township fifteen years ago and they resided here continuously since that time. Mr. Johnson was the father of one child, a daughter who died four years ago. Johnson's wife survives him. She is the same age as her husband though she is still in fair health. If Mr. Johnson had lived until the holidays he and his wife would have been married 54 years.
