Alfred Peters Dies at Hospital

Alfred Peters died Tuesday afternoon at the Grundy hospital, where he had been a patient for a day. He had been in poor health in recent years. He was 65 years old.

The body is at the Ferree funeral home in Grundy Center. There will be a prayer service at the funeral home at one o'clock Saturday and later at Bethany Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Wayne M. Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery adjoining the Reformed church two miles west of Fern.

Alfred Peters was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Peters. He was born on a Colfax township farm and grew up there. He remained on the farm until 1949, when he and his sister, Dena Peters, moved to Grundy Center, which has since been their home. Alfred never married.

Surviving are three sisters and four brothers. The sisters are Dena; Mrs. Harm Frieling, Grundy Center; and Mrs. John Meester, Wellsburg. The brothers are Heit Peters, of Parkersburg; George, Greene, Iowa; Jake, Cedar Falls; and John, Dike.
