Miss Dena Peters Funeral Friday

Miss Dena Peters, 82, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 25 at the Storey Custodial home in Grundy Center where she had resided the past nine months.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock in the Bethany Presbyterian church. Rev. Calvin Vanderwerf will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Christian Reformed church cemetery west of Fern.

The body will be at the Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home until 8:30 a.m. Friday.

Dena Peters was born March 28, 1887 in Colfax township, Grundy County, Iowa. She was the daughter of John and Etta Peters. She lived in Colfax township all of her life until 20 years ago when she and a brother moved to Grundy Center. She was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian church.

She is survived by four brothers, Heit Peters of Parkersburg, George of Greene, Jake, Cedar Falls, and John Peters, Dike. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and four sisters.
