Another Dead In The Doeden Family

Death again entered into the Geo. Doyen[sic] home Christmas morning and this time claimed Annie, the 3 daughter of Harm Doeden. The child was sick with diptheria but for a short time. One of the older children of G. Doeden was sick with quincy which developed into diptheria on Thursday and immediately a quarantine was placed upon the home. The funeral of the deceased child was held private Saturday at the Reform church. This is the fourth death in the family since March 20th. They were Harm Doedens wife and two children, and his brother Omke son of G. Doeden. At the present writing two of the latters children are still quite low with diptheria. The people of the surrounding community extend their heartfelt sympathy to the family in their great afflictions.
