2 Months Old Boy Dies In Ia. City Hospital

Wendell Mark Pruis, two and a half months' old son of Mr. and Mrs. Marlyn Pruis who live west of Fern, died in the University hospital at Iowa City on Jan. 29. Death was due to pneumonia following a weak heart condition. The boy had not been well since birth.

Funeral services were held at the Engelkes Funeral Home in Grundy Center, Thursday afternoon. The service was conducted by Rev. Gerald Osland, pastor of the Reformed church west of Fern. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the Pleasant Valley Reformed church.

Surviving are the parents, a sister Laurie, 2 years old, the paternal grandmother, Mrs. Eilert Pruis, Grundy Center, and the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Verb Syhlman, Parkersburg.
