Mrs. Theodore Klunder
Funeral services for Mrs. Theodore Klunder were held at the Christian Reformed church in Parkersburg Friday afternoon. Burial was in the Linnemann church cemetery west of Fern. Rev. K. Tebben officiated at the service.
Obituary
Mrs. Theodore Klunder, nee Martha Bergman, was born August 11, 1881, at Dielerheide, Ostfriesland, Germany. She came to America with his parents at the age of 13 years. The family settled in Grundy county.In 1898 she was united in marriage to Theodore Klunder. This union was blessed with eight children, 6 girls and 2 boys. The boys both died in infancy.
Her husband passed away on the 25th of January, 1936. Since that time, Mrs. Klunder made her home with the children.
She had been ailing since last winter. Last week she became much worse and her strength failed fast. She passed away very quietly late Monday afternoon, June 11, at the age of 63 years and 10 months.
She leaves to mourn her departure her five daughters: Mrs. Ben Schiller of Waverly, Mrs. John Stork of New Hartford, Mrs. Sam Konken of Fern, Mrs. Lester Pruisner and Mrs. John Rindels of Cedar Falls, 20 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, 2 sisters and 2 half-brothers. One daughter, Mrs. Minert Pruisner, died last summer.
