Obituary
Mrs. Jurgen Reents

Mrs. Grace Reents was born on August 1, 1886[sic], at Ostfriesland, Germany. Some time later she came to America with her parents, Chris and Tena Sonnenberg.

At that time they established their home in the vicinity of Grundy county. She was united in marriage to Jurgen Reents on February 6, 1896, in Grundy county where they afterward established their home.

After forty-two years together the Lord called Mr. Reents to his eternal home on April 24, 1938. Hence, several years later, Mrs. Reents went to make her home with her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Steno Jungling, at Aplington. She resided with them for 12 years, until several days before her passing, at which time she was admitted to the hospital.

She was confined to her daughter's home in Aplington and recognized as an invalid since 1954. On September 22, 1958, she was admitted to the Allen hospital at Waterloo where she remained until her passing on September 30, 1958, at 10:10 p.m. She went to be with her Lord at the age of 90 years. During many of these years she was a member of the Pleasant Valley Reformed Church where she served her Lord faithfully.

Her parents, two brothers, one sister, her husband, and two grandchildren preceded her in death.

She is survived by one daughter, Elia, Mrs. Steno Jungling of Aplington, one brother-in-law, Herman Ostendorf of Stout, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service were held Friday afternoon, at 12:45 from the Jungling home and 1:30 at the Pleasant Valley Reformed Church, south of Parkersburg. Burial was in the church cemetery.
