Miss Hilda Eberlein died Wednesday evening at 8:30 at her home in Wellsburg. She had been an invalid most of her life. She had not been able to walk and was confined to her bed during the past nine years. She was 44 years old.
Funeral services were held at the home early Monday afternoon and later at the Second Christian Reformed church in Wellsburg. Rev. John Rubingh, local pastor, officiated at the service. Burial was in the Pleasant Valley Evangelical church cemetery. There was some difficulty in getting through the snowdrifts but with the help of the township road patrolman and his equipment they got through.

Surviving are her sisters Edna and Hazel who gave her tender care for so many years and a married sister, Mrs. George Harms. One sister, Mrs. Albert Ross, died a number of years ago. There are three surviving brothers. They are Lester who lives at Bristow, Ford who resides on the home farm in Pleasant Valley township and Harry from Marshalltown.

Obituary Hilda Eberline
Hilda Esther Eberline was born April 15, 1902, in Pleasant Valley township. There she spent the early years of her life on the farm with her parents. In the year 1923 she moved to Wellsburg with her father and sisters Edna and Hazel.
During the early years of childhood Hilda was a healthy child, but at the age of 10 years she was stricken with a paralysis that left her an invalid for the rest of her life. In the years 1937 and again in 1938 she submitted to spinal operations at the Deaconess hospital in Marshalltown. Since that time she was confined to her bed. During all these years her sister Edna has devotedly and faithfully cared for her. While Hilda was not able to be up and around she enjoyed doing fancywork and embroidering at which she also was very adept. The last years of her life were long and often weary for her, and she in her own way bore her affliction patiently.
Hilda was baptized on March 23, 1907, at the home of her parents, and she was a member of the Pleasant Valley Evangelical church.
During the last weeks it became apparent that her little strength was slipping fast. She passed away last Wednesday evening, January 29th, at about 8 o'clock in the evening. Her end came quietly and we may believe that as she slept away she fell asleep in Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her sister Viola, and her brothers Fred and William. Left to mourn her death are her three sisters, Mrs. Geo. J. Harms, Edna and Hazel Eberline, all of Wellsburg, and her three brothers, Harry Eberline of Marshalltown, Lester Eberline of Bristow and Ford Eberline of Pleasant Valley. Beside these many other relatives and friends who thoughtfully and lovingly remember her today.
