Peter Backerman Dead

Peter Backerman, living northwest of Wellsburg, died Monday night after an illness of a few days, from a paralytic stroke. He was about 72 years of age and leaves several grown sons and one grown daughter. The funeral was held Thursday at the Bizer church north of town. Mr. Backerman had been a helper among the farms of German township for a number of years. His wife died some years ago.
