Rites Held For Dena Rademaker

Mrs. Dena Rademaker, of Stout, passed away Wednesday, April 14 at Allen Memorial Hospital having reached the age of 94 years, 7 months and 30 days.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 17 in the Reformed Church of Stout with Rev. John Frey officiating.

Pallbearers were Kendall Buskohl, Brian Bergman, Andy Nielsen, Bruce Adair, Keven Adair and Bill Grimm.

Interment followed in the Stout Cemetery.

Dena was born the daughter of Koert and Carrie Meyer Miller on August 15, 1898, in Pleasant Valley Township, Grundy County. She received her education in Beaver No. 5 and Stout Schools.

On February 10, 1919, Dena was united in marriage to Harm Rademaker. They farmed a few years before they moved to Stout.

Dena was an active member of the Reformed Church of Stout until her health failed. On June 17, 1992, she moved to Maple Manor Nursing Home in Aplington.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harm; 1 son-in-law, Harvey Buskohl; her parents; 2 brothers, Cort and Oscar Miller; 1 half-brother, Jake Miller; 6 sisters, Alice Tapper, Marie Peters, Ann Sorenson, Jeanette Grimm, Carrie Horner and 1 in infancy; 3 half-sisters, Minnie Pothast, Jennie Kruger and Etta Seehusen.

Dena is survived by her children: 1 son, Harold Rademaker and his wife IvaDean of Stout; 2 daughters, Carrie and her husband, William Bergman of Dike, and Lois Buskohl of Grundy Center; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Jessie and her husband, A. C. Conrads; 1 brother-in-law, Harlan Horner all of Cedar Falls; 1 sister-in-law, Sheilia Miller of Baltimore, Maryland; and several nieces and nephews.

Schwartz Funeral Home in Parkersburg was in charge of the arrangements.
