Mrs. H. Pruisner Rites At Stout

Funeral services were held at the Stout Reformed Church Thursday, March 15, for Mrs. Henry (Grace) Pruisner. Rev. Mark Volkers officiated. Randall Konken and Jill Pruisner sang "Nearer My God To Thee" and "I Need Thee Every Hour." They were accompanied by Mrs. Bernard Schnell.

Casketbearers were Randall Pruisner, Kendall Pruisner, Jim Luiken, Gary Heronimus, Robert Wiegmann, and Richard Koehler. Ushers were Harm Meyer and Harvey Eiklenborg. Mrs. Harlan Beninga and Mrs. John Bakker took care of the flowers. Interment was in the Stout cemetery. Relatives and friends returned to the church for fellowship and refreshments following the committal service.

Mrs. Pruisner died Monday evening, March 12, 1979 at the Parkview Nursing Home in Reinbeck, having attained the age of 75 years.

She was born March 20, 1903 in Grundy county, Iowa, the daughter of Nick and Dena Boike Freese. On February 21, 1922 she was united in marriage to Henry Pruisner at the Reformed Church of Stout. The Pruisners had farmed in the Dike area until the fall of 1971 when they moved to Dike. She became a resident of the Parkview Nursing Home on August 9, 1973. She was a member of the Reformed Church of Stout. A memorial fund has been established.

She is survived by her husband, Henry, of the Parkview Nursing Home, Reinbeck; three sons, Gordon of Aplington, Kenneth and Donald of Dike, one daughter, Mrs. Bill (LaVonne) Bell of Las Vegas, Nevada, two brothers, C. E. Freese of Dike, Vernon Freese of Sacramento, Calif., two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Johnson of Cedar Falls, Mrs. Esther Lovell of Dike, also 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

The Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
