Elizabeth Lowe Died Saturday

Although her death was not unexpected, the demise of Elizabeth Lowe, for over 39 years a resident of Stout, brings to many a degree of genuine sorrow.

Obituary
Miss Elizabeth Lowe was born June 26, 1877, in Van Buren county, Iowa. She lived there until 1894, when she went to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she spent five years with an uncle. After this she worked for a while in Kansas City, Mo., and later in the children's home in Des Moines and various other places.

In 1916 she came to Stout and since then made her home with her sister, Miss Crete Lowe. She was always very ambitious and for many years the two sisters wove beautiful rugs for many from far and near.

She was a faithful member of the Stout Reformed church for many years, and was always there to attend divine services as long as health permitted.

The end came Saturday, July 30, reaching the age of 78 years, 1 month, 4 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Lowe, one brother and two sisters.

Those left to mourn her departure are two sisters, Crete Lowe of Stout and Mrs. Lucille Scott of Port Orchard, Wash., and one brother, Fred Lowe, Rose Creek, Minn.; also 10 nieces and nephews and many friends.

Funeral services were Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Reformed church in Stout, conducted by the pastor, Rev. A. Roskamp. Burial was in the Stout cemetery.
