Mrs. Sam Cirksena Dies In Hospital

Mrs. Sam Cirksena from Holland died in the Grundy Memorial Hospital Tuesday night. She had been a patient in the hospital for three weeks. Death was due to cancer. She was 67 years old.

Mrs. Cirksena was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harm Konken. She was born on a Beaver township farm Oct. 12, 1885. She grew up in Beaver township and was married Feb. 10, 1908. Mr. and Mrs. Cirksena began housekeeping on a Beaver township farm and continued there until 1938, when they moved to Holland where they have since lived.

Funeral services will be held at the home in Holland at one o'clock Saturday and at two o'clock in the Gospel Hall at Stout.

Surviving are the husband; two sons, Ray from Dike and Herman, Parkersburg. There are 5 grandchildren. Other relatives are her mother, three brothers and five sisters. The brothers are Henry Konken, Parkersburg; John Konken, Waverly; Sam Konken, Fern. The sisters are Mrs. John Akkerman, Mrs. Henry Wiltfang and Mrs. George Hempen, all of Parkersburg; Mrs. Fred Helmers, Allison, and Mrs. Hillert Bergman, Reinbeck.
