John Feerksen, Sr., died at his home in this city Sunday morning, Oct. 20, 1901, of cardiac insufficiency. Although having been feeling badly for some time deceased was able to be about until last Friday when a physician was called and he was thought then to be in a serious condition. He was at the time of his death about forty-eight years of age and leaves to mourn his death his widow, three sons and two daughters. The funeral was held at the Reform church Tuesday at one o'clock p.m., burial taking place in that cemetery. The sympathy of the community goes out to the family in their bereavement.
