Mrs. George Harms, living four and one-half miles southwest from Wellsburg died last Friday, December 24th, after an actual illness of six days. Mrs. Harms has not been in good health for a long time and had needed a great deal of care. But only six days of actual sickness constituted her last illness. Her death is given as pneumonia, said to have been conflicted with the disabilities incumbent upon old age.

Mrs. Harms was 77 years of age, having been born in Germany in 1838. Her husband died about five years ago.

There were three children, Wesley Harms, Mrs. Luppert Eiten from Steamboat Rock, and Miss Johanna Harms who has had the care of her mother at home for a long time.

The family is well known, having lived in this section for the past ty years.--Herald
